With a broad range of the latest metrology equipment on display we are able to demonstrate an extensive array of dimensional measuring solutions to visitors at Austech 2009. The solutions presented include the latest developments in coordinate measurement technology, with key industry brands such as Brown & Sharpe, and Sheffield, both running what is now fast-becoming the global-standard metrology software platform - PC-DMIS.
Being shown for the first time in Australia will be the all new Discovery series III from Sheffield Measurement. Sheffield's original Cordax Discovery CMM created the concept of affordable automatic dimensional inspection at the point of manufacture on the shop floor and this next generation Discovery III now offers higher accuracy, improved thermal performance, a new industrial design and expanded control options. Available in three measuring ranges from 500x600x400mm to 760x1000x600mm, this new CMM is sized to suit the majority of manufactured parts.
As well as an extensive display fixed metrology technology, the Hi-Tech Metrology stand will display an impressive range of portable measuring equipment from FARO Technologies, including the world-famous Faro ScanArm, the new extreme accuracy FARO Quantum FaroArm, the world's largest selling laser tracker the FARO Laser Tracker and the highly portable, shop floor measurement tool - the FARO Gage and Gage-PLUS.
The Hi-Tech Metrology exhibit will also have running the latest non-contact vision measuring system from MicroVu, the Vertex 420, the best selling vision system in Australia currently. The MicroVu Vertex is ideal for measuring plastic, sheet metal and flexible components in the packaging, medical and scientific, and general engineering sectors. We find it an easy and highly effective coordinate measuring tool for industry - requiring minimal training and skills development and produces highly repetitive, fast and accurate results, just ask any of our many satisfied customers such as Robert Bosch, Resmed, Cochlear, and Huhtamaki Packaging etc.
