Large Scale Manufacturing
AMTIL has bought together a number of industry partners to showcase many leading technologies utilised in the manufacture of large parts. Being held in Brisbane and Perth during November and December the event is divided into 5 cells with a focus on the Mining, Aerospace, Marine, Architecture and Movie industries showing:
- Data capture and scanning
- CAD modelling
- Tool path generation
- Machining of large envelope parts
- Metrology and inspection

Technologies on show include:
Data capture and scanningParts will be scanned with the data appearing on screen in real time. Point cloud data is then used for CAD design, RE or RP |
CAD modellingThe part will be designed and CAD modeled, showing the benefits of 3D design in improving speed and quality of the engineering design process. |
||
Tool path generationThis demonstration will present easy ways to create effective multi axis CAM programs which are efficient, and safe. |
Robot machiningRobotic Machining offers large machining volume, in a flexible and adaptive cell. Parts can be machined, trimmed, and handled in ways other machining systems can't achieve. |

Metrology and inspectionMachined parts will be inspected and compared to CAD models ensuring they are fit to go into the field for use |
